The highest point in Tyne and Wear at 259m
Just off the road that leads from Leadgate to Headley on the Hill, lies the very unassuming Currock Hill. Easy to find and due to it’s particular odour, not an easy one to forget! The views over the surrounding countryside are lovely through and if you’re up there I can thoroughly recommend Chopwell Woods close by where Bramble had a paddle in the Derwent!
